Bookkeeping Basics 

For the equestrian entrepreneur to build a financial foundation

This course started as a 90-minute bookkeeping training session for equestrian entrepreneurs. After 200+ sessions, I've turned it into a learn-at-your-own-pace program to help you build a strong financial foundation within your equestrian business. It's normal for this to be your first rodeo in business and have no clue what to do, you're likely in this for things beyond the money and so I've put together a course for you to learn all the high-level responsibilities and the information you need to as the CEQO of your equestrian business. 

There's no fluffy bullsh*t in this course, most of the lessons are short and sweet with the heavy lifting learnt in the second chapter of the course. You're an equestrian entrepreneur with 1013 tasks to complete and a dream to chase; let me help you setup your bookkeeping to support your finances and create stable profit. The course has been broken down into three main arenas of learning; 


Financial Foundation
This is where you learn to walk before you gallop. Learn and create an understanding around business structures, bank accounts, payment processors, and create an operating budget. There are five lessons within this chapter.

Bookkeeping Basics
There are 22 small lessons within this chapter that describes the responsibilities of bookkeeping for the equestrian entrepreneur. This includes the details you need to collect and store for your income and expenses, deductible expenses to lower your tax bill, how to pay yourself and create a profit plan.


Bookkeeping Process

Putting together what you learnt in the first two chapters, in this chapter you'll learn some tips and tricks to help you stay on top of your bookkeeping. Bookkeeping tasks will be broken down into daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly tasks.
